ONE OF THE MOST UNIQUE MARATHONS IN THE COUNTRY!
PRE-RACE PASTA DINNER
We are very excited to announce that this year's pre-race pasta dinner will be at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex Apollo / Saturn V Center. Marvel at a monstrous 363-foot-long Saturn V moon rocket, the most powerful rocket ever built, and one of only three in existence at the Apollo/Saturn V Center. Dramatic multi-media shows and numerous hands-on displays provide an inspirational and exhilarating look into America's quest for the moon. Relive the historic launch of Apollo 8 at the Firing Room Theater, and get a rare look at the harrowing final moments before man landed on the moon at the Lunar Theater. All of this is included while dining underneath the Saturn V Moon Rocket. The cost of the pre-race dinner will be announced shortly. The dinner is from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and the keynote speaker presentation is approximately 7:00 pm.
Chance to win tickets to "Astronaut Training Experience (ATX)"
Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, one of our major sponsors, has donated a prize package to the "Astronaut Training Experience (ATX)" plus Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex admission for two people. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s most interactive guest program to date, ATX® - Astronaut Training Experience®, offers participants a true taste of the space flight experience. Developed with input from veteran NASA astronauts, the hands-on, heads-engaged half day program includes an orientation and mission briefing by a member of the U.S. astronaut corps, true-to-training simulator exercises and the culmination of the training: A team-oriented space shuttle mission from launch to landing in a full-scale space shuttle mock-up and Mission Control Center. The intensity of ATX offers a realistic look at what astronauts and mission control achieve together every time NASA launches a manned mission. For more information on these programs, please visit www.kennedyspacecenter.com . All participants are eligible for this grand prize drawing.
