Running Zone Foundation and Space Coast Runners welcome you to the 53rd running of the Space Coast Marathon & Half Marathon – Florida’s oldest marathon. We invite runners and walkers alike to experience one of the most beautiful USATF certified waterfront courses on the east coast of Florida.
Our event starts in the historic and quaint Cocoa Village, and finishes along the river in Lee Wenner Park and Cocoa Riverfront Park where family and friends can cheer and watch your finish.
As our race is held within the shadow of the Kennedy Space Center, the entire event revolves around a space theme sure to delight and energize our participants.
Safety protocols and practices based on local health guidelines and industry best practices will be utilized on race day. We will communicate these to all event participants as part of our Captain’s Logs.

SWITCHING EVENTS
For added flexibility for participants switching between events including virtual events will be available to manage yourself online until November 22nd, 2024 as long as there is space in the race. To allow switching between the event and the virtual race, participation caps are in place. If an event fills, the option to switch to this event will not show as available.
Marathoners: Note: If you registered for the marathon and don’t think you can complete the full distance, the 13.1 split of the marathon is certified and we can give you a half marathon time. Marathoners who exit the course at the 13.1 split are not eligible for Half Marathon awards. IMPORTANT: If you choose to end your race at the 13.1 split, please let us know you did not complete the full but instead you finished the half marathon for scoring purposes.
Virtual Marathon or Half Marathon: now participants have the added flexibility of switching to a virtual option yourself until November 22nd, 2024. If already registered, sign into your RunSignUp account and under upcoming events, manage registration. When registering for the event, you can choose picking up your packet or if outside Brevard County, you can choose to have your packet shipped to you. Submitting virtual events will maintain eligibility for 3 and 4 year challenges. *Please note virtual participants are not eligible for awards.
DIRECTIONS:
In order to transfer between events, you will need to log into your RunSignUp account -> Upcoming Races -> Space Coast Marathon -> Manage Registration. Once you click on Manage Registration, you will need to click on the “Transfer Event” Menu Tab. This will allow you to initiate the transfer to the virtual race.
Select which event you would like to transfer to (it will still show the price) and continue through the transfer registration process. Once you get to the checkout screen, the total amount should be listed.
If this is not the case, please email info@spacecoastmarathon.com.
TRANSFERS
The transfer of race numbers from one person to the other is NOT allowed. Also, giving or selling your race number to another person is against race policy. Violation of these rules will jeopardize your participation in future Space Coast Marathon & Half Marathon events. Please consider switching your registration to a virtual option and participate when you are able to.
CANCELLATIONS / DEFERRALS / REFUNDS
Entry fees are non-refundable and may NOT be deferred toward a future event. The only exception to our deferral policy will be for those who are on active military duty and are deployed for service (a copy of deployment orders is required).
Multiple local charities, foundations, and health related groups are the beneficiaries of the Space Coast Marathon & Half Marathon. Thank you for your participation and support of this event.
You will receive your virtual race packet via email if you provided an email during registration.
We have added a virtual option to provide flexibility for participants. Please consider switching your registration to a virtual option and participate when you are able to. Race Medals, Challenge medal (if eligible), and finisher towel can be picked up at Running Zone during packet pick up or shipped to you when selected during registration for the virtual event.
